Emergency Services
Foothills County is serviced by 9-1-1 for emergency response for fire, police, and ambulance vehicles.
Volunteer fire departments are centred in Black Diamond, Blackie, Cayley, High River, Longview, Okotoks, Priddis, and Turner Valley. Calgary Fire Department responds to calls from a portion of the municipality.
RCMP detachments are located in High River, Okotoks, and Turner Valley.

April 15 – Nov 15: Open Monday-Tuesday, Friday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. During this period, branches, grass clippings, and leaves will also be accepted at the Black Diamond/Turner Valley Transfer Station
Nov 16 – April 14: Open Friday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
*Bags can be purchased at the Priddis transfer station for $2 per bag. Bags for use at the transfer stations are also available
at Millarville General Store, Hi Ho in Turner Valley, and the Esso in Black Diamond. Sale prices of bags at retailers is at the
discretion of the retailers and may be more than $2 per bag. Please note that these bags are only accepted at the Foothills County transfer stations in Priddis and Black Diamond, if they are brought to the landfill, standard charges will still apply.
